Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + GBS bonus

We\’re seeking a highly organised, calm, and proactive Production Planner to bring structure, transparency, and accountability to production scheduling within a dynamic, fast-growing international business.
Having recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, this business is focused on optimising production planning processes—from raw material procurement to finished product dispatch—to achieve operational excellence.
What You\’ll Do
- Own and optimise production schedules using Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC to ensure customer demand is met on time and in full.
- Balance capacity and materials to minimise delays, highlight risks early, and replan where necessary.
- Provide clear, timely communication across production, procurement, sales, and customer service teams.
- Drive transparency by implementing KPIs, independent reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with management to establish accountability and stretch goals for performance uplift (aiming for a 15% increase in manufacturing achievement).
- Lead the integration of planning across multiple divisions, unifying silos into one efficient, collaborative chain.
Requirements
- Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain coordination—preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong expertise with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Navision) manufacturing/planning modules.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Skilled in handling large data sets with Excel and reporting tools.
- Calm under pressure with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
- Detail-oriented, methodical, and comfortable working independently.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, MRP II, or theory of constraints is a strong advantage.
- Previous exposure to fencing, construction products, or manufacturing industries is desirable.
