Description HR & Compliance Officer Location: Baston (Full-time Onsite) Salary: £33,000 – £38,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and proactive HR & Compliance Officer to join a dynamic and values-driven business based in Baston. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated HR professional who enjoys working across the full employee lifecycle and thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment. Key Responsibilities As the onsite HR lead, you will support both HR and compliance operations, working closely with the senior leadership team and departmental managers. Key areas of responsibility include: * Managing day-to-day HR operations, policies, and procedures * Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and employee development * Providing guidance and support on employee relations issues * Administering the HRIS system and supporting payroll processes * Supporting the QHSE Director to maintain ISO standards and documentation * Driving employee engagement initiatives and promoting company values * Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, GDPR, and internal procedures Requirements * Previous experience in an HR Generalist role * Strong administration and organisational skills * Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * High levels of confidentiality and professionalism * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems * An understanding of ISO standards and health & safety procedures (desirable) Benefits * Salary £33,000 – £38,000 depending on experience * 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays * Free lunches twice a week * Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) * Professional development and training opportunities About the Business Our client is a well-established and growing business with a strong sense of purpose, clear values, and a commitment to developing their team.
