An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Self-Employed Site Manager to take the lead on a well-defined education project in Hertfordshire, running from around May 26 through to October 26. This is a hands-on role managing the construction of a new classroom block within a live school environment, with a project value of approximately £1-£1.5 million. You will be trusted to run the site day-to-day, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and programme delivery.
The Role
- Full responsibility for site management from start to finish
- Managing subcontractors, programme, and site logistics
- Ensuring strict compliance with H&S requirements (SMSTS essential)
- Liaising professionally with stakeholders in a live school setting
- Driving quality and productivity on site
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on similar-scale projects
- SMSTS and relevant site certifications
- Experience working in live school environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of light gauge steel construction would be a strong advantage
- Self-motivated, reliable and able to work autonomously
- Strong consideration given to candidates with an excellent work ethic and proactive approach
