Our client based in Hemel Hempstead, specialises in creating transformative environments for independent schools and educational institutions across the UK and internationally. They are known for being professional, personable, and precise.

They are now on the hunt for a Sales Development Coordinator who is confident in starting thoughtful conversations, skilled at building rapport, and comfortable following up with purpose and professionalism. As Sales Development Coordinator you will join their Strategy Development Team. You will enjoy opening doors rather than pushing sales, and support consultants by creating high-quality introductions. This role plays a vital part in the early stages of the client journey, acting as the first point of contact for prospective schools and educational organisations. While the role involves outbound calling, the approach is consultative, informed, and relationship-led, focused on intelligent introductions rather than hard selling.

The role is split approximately 50% outbound calling and 50% follow-up emails, CRM management, and consultant and team support, ensuring Strategy Consultants are fully prepared for productive, well-qualified meetings.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of the Strategy Development Team, you will:

  • Spend around 50% of your time making outbound calls to introduce the company, open conversations, and engage prospective clients in a warm, professional, and credible manner.
  • Take a soft-sell, consultative approach, focusing on understanding each school's context and identifying whether a strategic conversation would be valuable.
  • Book high-quality appointments for Strategy Consultants, ensuring meetings are relevant, well-timed, and purposeful.
  • Follow up conversations with clear, well-crafted emails that summarise discussions and confirm next steps.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM, logging calls, notes, outcomes, and future actions.
  • Work closely with Strategy Consultants to understand priorities, target audiences, and messaging.
  • Provide consultant support, including coordination, preparation, follow-ups, and general assistance to help them focus on delivery.
  • Track engagement and responses to ensure no opportunity is overlooked and all contacts receive timely communication.
  • Ensure every interaction reflects the company's values: professional, personable, and respectful of clients' time.

  • Organised & detail-oriented - You keep accurate notes and follow through consistently.

  • An excellent communicator - Your spoken and written communication is clear, professional, and engaging.
  • Tech-comfortable - You're happy using CRM systems and standard productivity tools.
