We’re partnering with a fast-growing supplier of premium natural stone and landscaping products to appoint a commercially astute and people-focused Head of Sales. This privately owned business, based in Yeovil, Somerset, has built a strong reputation for product quality, technical expertise, and sustainability. Founded by a family team, the company has grown from modest beginnings into a highly regarded player in the industry, supplying garden designers, architects, contractors, and private clients across the UK and internationally.
This is a newly created leadership role offering the opportunity to shape the sales strategy and team during a period of continued growth. With turnover increasing year-on-year, the business is growing FAST and has clear ambitions for further expansion.
About the Role:
As Head of Sales, you’ll report directly to the board and lead a small but high-performing team across business development, estimating, and customer support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering the commercial strategy across multiple customer segments (specifiers, contractors, and private clients)
- Coaching and supporting the sales team through long-cycle technical sales and high volumes of inbound enquiries
- Collaborating cross-functionally with operations and marketing to drive conversion and service excellence
- Managing key client relationships and representing the business at site visits, showrooms, and events
- Driving margin and revenue performance through insight, action, and leadership
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in B2B sales leadership, ideally in construction, materials, or a design-led product environment
- Commercially minded, with a strong grasp of margin, pricing, and pipeline management
- A natural leader with the ability to inspire and develop others
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and solutions-focused – equally comfortable in the showroom or on-site
- Experience using CRM or ERP systems (GBS system implementation currently underway)
Benefits
The Package:
- £50,000–£60,000 basic salary (DOE)
- £10,000 annual car allowance
- Performance-related bonus based on gross profit
- Monday–Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm
- Based in Yeovil with UK travel as needed
