Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Lead Hoist Installer role based in London and surrounding areas.
The Lead Hoist Installer is responsible for planning, installing, commissioning, and dismantling hoists and common tower systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising installation teams, coordinating with site management, ensuring equipment is correctly configured, carrying out inspections and functional tests, and maintaining accurate installation and service records.
The role also involves troubleshooting technical issues, overseeing maintenance and repairs, and ensuring all work complies with health and safety standards and site procedures.
The Lead Hoist Installer will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and other site stakeholders to ensure timely, safe, and efficient delivery of access solutions.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in hoist installation, commissioning, and dismantling, ideally within construction or access solutions environments.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems relevant to hoists and common tower equipment, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Proven ability to lead and supervise site teams, coordinate tasks, and manage time and resources effectively on busy construction sites.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK health and safety regulations, safe lifting practices, and working at height standards, with a commitment to safe site operations.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with contractors, project managers, and site personnel, including clear reporting and documentation.
- Relevant industry certifications or training (e. g., NVQ Level 3/ SMSTS or equivalent, hoist-specific training, working at height or lifting operations qualifications) are highly beneficial.
- Experience working with tier 1 contractors or on large, complex construction projects is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site full time in the London and surrounding areas and adapt to changing site conditions and project requirements.
