To help ensure legal compliance with all relevant local statutory requirements and ensure the Environmental Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS) remains in a process of continual improvement. Develop, build and maintain close relationships with business leaders and actively promote health and safety across the Europe Middle East Africa region.

Responsibilities

  • Management of the EHSMS including reviewing, updating and implementing relevant health and safety documentation and continually improving the EHSMS compliance score.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of the health and safety strategy across the EMEA region.
  • Work with business leaders to drive EHS improvements against goals and objectives (as part of the overall performance requirements).
  • Conduct or participate in emergency evacuation drills and update emergency information and signage.
  • Pre-qualify and approve contractors / Review Risk assessments and method statements for outside vendors/contractors coming to NBCUniversal premises.
  • Conduct risk assessments according to relevant guidelines, covering events, incidental tasks, etc.
  • Report major incidents immediately to Corp EHS and appropriate external agency and lead accident investigations (log, determine root cause, corrective actions).
  • Review and update site training matrix and arrange training for team members (first aid, fire warden, etc.) and induction for new starters.
  • Host Safety Meetings (fire wardens, first aiders, EHS Committee, etc.).
  • Support Security, Crisis Management, Business Continuity program.
  • Liaise with external regulators as necessary.
  • Provide the International EHS Director with weekly EHS summary report.
  • Undertake regular maintenance of Gensuite, including logging employee labour hours worked for I&I rate, verify/correct metrics for quarterly roll-up, monitor metrics (action closure rates, trend injury data and other metrics to identify improvement plans).
  • Manage the health and safety requirements of all special events (i.e. Cares Day) and where necessary undertake site visits, conduct risk assessments and provide safety briefings.
  • Responding to emergency incidents.
  • Liaising with locally based external agencies including Police and other Government Agencies on security or criminal investigation issues as directed by VP and/or Director International Security.
  • Auditing compliance against NBCUniversal standards and procedures and local legal requirements.
  • Any other duties as seen reasonable by the International EHS Director.

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • Chartered Member of IOSH or working towards Chartered Member of IOSH.
