Experienced Sheet Metal Worker / Ductwork Fabricator in Coventry

Univent Systems Ltd is an established and growing ventilation manufacturing company specialising in the design and manufacture of bespoke Air Handling Units (AHUs), ventilation ductwork, silencers, plenums and associated sheet metal products. We manufacture equipment for commercial and industrial projects, including bespoke solutions for new developments and existing buildings. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker / Ductwork Fabricator to join our busy manufacturing team in Bedworth.
Manufacture bespoke ventilation ductwork, air handling units, silencers, plenums, back boxes and associated sheet metal products.
Work with galvanised sheet metal ranging from 0.9mm to 3.0mm thickness.
Operate hydraulic presses, guillotines, cutting and bending machinery.
Read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication drawings and sketches.
Accurately measure, mark out, cut, fold and assemble sheet metal components.
Produce high-quality fabrications to meet customer specifications.
Work closely with the workshop foreman and team to meet production deadlines.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment and follow health and safety procedures.
We are looking for someone with previous hands-on experience within the sheet metal or ventilation ductwork manufacturing industry.
Proven experience manufacturing ventilation ductwork, silencers, plenums or similar sheet metal products.
Experience working with galvanised steel and workshop fabrication machinery.
Ability to read and work from technical drawings and sketches.
Good measuring, marking-out and basic maths skills.
Ability to work independently and responsibly as part of a small team.
Reliable, hardworking attitude, with pride in producing quality workmanship.
Ability to handle materials and equipment safely using appropriate manual-handling procedures.
Own basic hand tools.
Previous experience manufacturing air handling units would be a distinct advantage.
