Duties
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an SDS Team Leader to work within our Product Stewardship function and lead the team of Safety Data Sheet (SDS) authors. Reporting into the Product Stewardship Manager, this role is based at either our Middlesbrough or Widnes site.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Manage the workload and development of the SDS authoring team who are responsible for the EMEA region (6 people)
- Co-ordinate with other Product Stewardship experts to ensure organizational compliance
- Build and maintain team competency matrix β including regular training and auditing programme
- Maintain robust processes to handle SDS requests in a complete and timely manner
- Staying abreast of emerging SDS & CLP regulation, understand any impact to the broader business and processes and ensure cross functional stakeholders understand what is required
- Act as business partner for SDS software matters, including but not limited to software updates, bugs and enhancement prioritization
- Coordination of Poison Centre Notification dossiers to the ECHA Notification Portal
- Co-ordinate and manage exposure scenarios where required for ESDS
- Comply with safety notices
- Comply with all Quality procedures
- Co-operate on all matters concerned with any health, safety, training, legislative and environmental matters
We Are Looking For
- The successful candidate will be dynamic, have excellent communication skills and already have experience managing a team within a chemical regulatory focused industry; this could include Safety Data Sheet authoring, Product Stewardship or an EHS environment. Experience authoring safety data sheets is preferred
- Good numeracy and statistics skills are preferred and good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications will be essential
- Experience of SAP and UL Wercs would be advantageous
- Someone who is cool under pressure with the ability to manage a varying and evolving workload with the flexibility to prioritise based on regulatory or business requirements
- Attention to detail and accuracy of information are essential to succeed
- Customer focused with a desire to exceed on Service Level Agreements and provide exceptional service
