Cadishead .

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Driving duties

  • Ensure adequate load security at all times.
  • Comply with legal and company vehicle segregation rules.
  • To ensure tachograph modes are used correctly.
  • To ensure the correct HPD/LPD Operations are always observed.
  • To check the accuracy of the load before commencement of deliveries
  • To utilise the correct PPE and manual handling equipment
  • Accurately record information regarding delivery and collection on the correct company paperwork
  • Safely deliver/collect goods at customers/supplier’s premises.
  • Driver in a safe and appropriate manner at all times
  • Report all accidents, incidents or near misses to the relevant personnel and to carry out driver’s daily vehicle checks and report defects via daily defect report procedure.

Ensure that notified defects are rectified.

  • Assist with the training of new personnel as requested by line management.
  • Ensure that the vehicle first aid kit, fire extinguisher and spill kit is maintained & serviceable.
  • In the event of any emergency comply with documented emergency procedure relevant to the incident
  • To regularly clean the interior and exterior of the vehicle
  • To ensure compliance to all quality and responsible care procedures

Must be willing to complete high/low pressure deliveries into customer’s tanks.

  • Responsible for reporting defective/out of inspection hoses
  • Responsible for tagging and highlighting last duty (Veolia hoses)
  • Responsible for raising defects with the compressor/pump system.
