As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will lead product marketing activities across the region to contribute to the achievement of the company's sales and profitability targets. This role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on product and supplier management responsibilities. You will manage and develop a team of Product Marketing Managers while working closely with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to support long‑term growth and implement successful programs that benefit both Univar Solutions and our suppliers. This is a highly commercial role with responsibility for driving business performance, developing supplier partnerships, and leading product strategies across the region.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Marketing Managers, providing direction, mentorship, and performance management.
- Drive product management and commercial activities across the region to support revenue growth and profitability.
- Manage strategic relationships with key suppliers, including pricing, business planning, and long‑term growth initiatives.
- Develop and execute regional product and supplier strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Support and lead supplier negotiations, including pricing and buying plans.
- Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, finance, and marketing to implement effective commercial and operational strategies.
- Partner with sales teams by providing market insights, training, and guidance on product positioning and opportunities.
- Monitor business performance and support initiatives to improve profitability and market share.
- Ensure alignment between supplier strategies, product management activities, and commercial execution.
- Facilitate business growth through effective communication and coordination across internal teams and suppliers.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience in product management, marketing, or sales, preferably within the pharmaceutical ingredients industry.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage, coach, and develop a team.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience supporting profitability and business growth.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make strategic, data‑driven decisions.
- Experience developing and managing relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders.
- Ability to build strong cross‑functional relationships with teams such as Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain.
- High level of decision‑making ability, balancing supplier needs and company objectives.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex and diverse workloads.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English required; additional European languages are a plus.
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is preferred.
