We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Product Coordinator to join our busy Supplier & Product Management team in Widnes to provide maternity cover for up to 12 months.

Within this role you will be responsible for your own suppliers as well as working alongside the Solvents, European Product Managers (EPMs). Responsible for a portfolio of circa 30kT, you will need to ensure that products are available for sale, pricing is correct, and that all relevant information is up to date to ensure that we drive profitable sales.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • You will be able to act on your own initiative and demonstrate a pro-active approach to maintaining effective supplier relationships and product information.
  • You will be responsible for the preparation of annual targets and budgets, information that is used to measure and review our performance.
  • You will negotiate with our suppliers to secure the right prices and terms for purchase of products as well as controlling selling prices to maximise our gross margins.
  • You will be working closely with the EPMs and sales teams to ensure we maximise all our opportunities.
  • You will set up, monitor and update selling schedules for products.
  • You will need to liaise with our stock controllers to decide forecasts and stock levels.
  • It will be your responsibility to deal with aged stock and implement the changes needed to drive continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role you will have excellent rapport building skills and be a confident communicator, especially with negotiation and influencing of others. We are looking for you to be commercially and technically minded with good experience of data manipulation and working with numbers. The successful applicant will be an organised, disciplined self-starter with a desire to succeed & develop.
