Remote Sales Executive
Salary: £26,436.80 base salary + performance-based bonuses

Start date: Immediate
We’re looking for a motivated, confident and coachable individual to join UniUpp as a Remote Sales Executive. Sales experience is preferred but not essential, as full training and ongoing support are provided.
About UniUpp
UniUpp is one of the UK’s fastest-growing academic consultancies, helping learners access university education through student finance-funded degree programmes. Working in partnership with UK universities, we simplify the admissions process and create meaningful opportunities for people from underrepresented communities to progress into higher education.
Our mission is simple: to make university more accessible and help people build better futures through education.
The Role
This is a telephone-based advisory sales position working exclusively with warm and hot leads — people who have already expressed an interest in going to university.
You’ll speak with prospective students, understand their circumstances, assess their eligibility and guide suitable applicants through the journey from initial enquiry to successful enrolment.
You’ll need to build rapport quickly, communicate clearly, handle objections professionally and maintain momentum throughout the application process.
Previous telesales experience is an advantage, but attitude, motivation and coachability matter just as much. We’ll provide the training, systems and support you need to succeed.
Career Progression
We believe in promoting from within and rewarding performance. Our progression pathway is clear:
Sales Executive → Senior Sales Executive → Team Leader → Sales Manager
Progression is merit-based, with opportunities to take on greater responsibility as you demonstrate consistent performance, leadership and the ability to deliver results.
Our current Sales Team Leader started on the phones, demonstrating the genuine opportunities available to ambitious team members.
Working Hours
- Monday–Friday, 9:30am–5:30pm
- Full-time commitment of 40 hours per week
- Optional weekend-morning shifts may be available for those wishing to earn more
You must be able to commit reliably to your contracted hours, including throughout initial training and the subsequent performance ramp-up period.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct structured telephone consultations with prospective students.
- Manage inbound enquiries and follow up warm leads.
- Assess eligibility against relevant criteria, including residency or settlement status, age, education, work history and student funding requirements.
- Explain university programmes, student finance and potential career pathways in clear, accessible language.
- Build trust, address concerns and handle objections confidently.
- Collect, verify and organise supporting documentation.
- Process applications and maintain accurate records through our CRM.
- Liaise with university admissions teams to support a smooth, professional and compliant enrolment process.
- Work towards individual targets and contribute to the wider team’s success.
What We’re Looking For
- Currently resident in the UK.
- A confident, professional telephone manner and strong spoken English.
- A motivated, target-driven attitude and genuine willingness to learn.
- Coachability: you welcome feedback, apply it and continually improve.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and time management.
- Reliability, professionalism and the ability to work independently from home.
Sales experience is preferred, not essential. Experience in telesales, customer service, recruitment, account management or advisory work would be beneficial, but we’re equally interested in candidates with transferable skills and the right attitude.
Home-Working Requirements
- Internet connection: Minimum 50 Mbps download speed. A screenshot of a speed test must be provided.
- Professional headset: A noise-cancelling headset suitable for professional telephone conversations, with evidence of ownership required.
- Dedicated workspace: A quiet, professional and distraction-free environment for the duration of each shift.
- Reliable availability: The ability to work all contracted hours consistently, including during training and the initial ramp-up period, without avoidable interruptions.
An advantage, but not essential: A MacBook and/or a dual-monitor setup.
Why Join UniUpp?
- Full training from day one: Develop your skills with structured training, guidance and ongoing coaching.
- No cold calling: Focus on people who have already expressed an interest in university.
- Clear career progression: Work towards senior and management positions through merit-based promotion.
- Performance-based earnings: Earn additional bonuses based on intake performance.
- A supportive environment: Receive feedback, develop your abilities and build confidence as you progress.
- Meaningful work: Help prospective students access higher education and pursue opportunities that could transform their futures.
Recruitment Process
Stage 1 – CV and Video Review
We assess your communication skills, professionalism, motivation and suitability for the role.
Stage 2 – One-to-One Interview
We explore your attitude, coachability, communication skills and potential to succeed in an advisory sales environment.
Stage 3 – Oral, Open-Book Assessment
You’ll take part in a scenario-based discussion to assess your reasoning and approach to prospective student consultations. You may use notes during this assessment.
Stage 4 – Offer and Onboarding
Successful candidates will receive an offer and can begin as soon as arrangements are finalised.
If you’re ambitious, motivated by results and excited by the opportunity to build a career in sales while making a genuine difference, we’d love to hear from you.
