Would you like to craft and implement interactive workflows that can improve the ever-growing power of graphics hardware on current and future platforms to build outstanding content quickly and intuitively? Unity Graphics is on a mission to rapidly advance innovation across our entire graphics stack, delivering the perfect balance of performance, quality, and the widest possible device reach. For this, we are looking for a Senior Tools Developer to join the team responsible for the graph-based authoring tools in Unity, Shader Graph and VFX Graph.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop, document and maintain our graph-based authoring tools: VFX Graph and Shader Graph.
  • Collaborate with technical artists, UX designers and graphics engineers to create smooth, intuitive and powerful workflows.
  • Interact with our user base to understand their needs and wants.
  • Work in a diverse, distributed team that is motivated to help our entire developer community succeed.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong experience as a Tools Developer in the Game Development Industry, ideally with a strong graphics affinity and/or node-based tooling.
  • Prior experience working with and for (technical) artists, with a focus on improving creator workflows.
  • Expertise with writing C# and/or C++ performant and clean code.
  • Knowledge of shader languages and shader language models (SM5.x, .x, Slang).
  • Familiarity with Visual Effects.

You might also have:

  • Familiarity with Unity.
  • Understanding of rendering pipelines, GPU architecture, and performance optimization techniques.
