As a Staff Technical Product Manager, Cross-Platform at Unity, you will be part of the platform product management team with a focus on the systems and capabilities that bring Unity's features consistently across platforms, including build workflows and Platform Toolkit, ensuring developers get a seamless, high-quality experience wherever they ship. This is a senior role bridging deep engine technology, OS APIs, and global hardware partnerships, driving the cross-platform roadmap across mobile, console, desktop, and XR.
You will be embedded alongside our engineering teams, gathering detailed data and feedback to help shape roadmaps and provide insight into customer use, demand for shipped features, features in development, and future areas of growth.
Responsibilities- Own the cross-platform roadmap identifying where Unity must invest to ensure developers can seamlessly ship games and applications across the full spectrum of platforms.
- Work closely with customers and platform PMs to discover new user needs, define feature requirements, and validate features in development.
- Negotiate and align with major platform partners to keep Unity ahead of platform shifts and new device categories.
- Translate highly technical roadmaps into strategic narratives for executive and external audiences, and help implement go-to-market plans for releases.
- Serve as connective tissue across Unity's platform teams, ensuring cross-team concerns are surfaced, aligned on, and planned appropriately.
- 8+ years of technical product management experience (or in combination with a strong engineering or game development background) shipping complex developer tools, or OS-level products.
- Deep platform fluency, including a solid understanding of software development lifecycles, APIs, rendering pipelines, and hardware abstraction across mobile, desktop, console, or XR.
- A proven track record of influencing senior leadership, navigating large organizational dependencies, and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Strong product leadership, demonstrating user empathy and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Strong technical communication skills and ability to convert customer feedback and requests into hidden needs and deeper goals, while articulating sophisticated concepts concisely for non-technical collaborators.
- Strong analytical abilities and experience working with data analysis tools.
- Hands-on experience shipping a game or interactive application using Unity, or other real-time 3D development tools.
This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions). The final offer amount will depend on several factors, including geographic location and the candidate's relevant experience, professional background, and skill set.
