We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Compliance Manager - Advisory to join our Conduct & Compliance team. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives on influencing senior stakeholders, shaping policy, and ensuring the Bank continues to meet and anticipate evolving FCA regulatory expectations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • As our senior regulatory adviser, you’ll be the go‑to expert for FCA requirements, Consumer Duty expectations, and emerging regulatory change.
  • You’ll work closely with leaders, product teams, and project groups to ensure decisions are compliant, well‑informed, and aligned to our values.
  • Provide clear, expert regulatory guidance to help business areas understand and meet their FCA obligations.
  • Partner with product and operational teams to ensure services remain compliant, fair, and aligned to Consumer Duty.
  • Represent Conduct & Compliance at senior forums, projects, and incident reviews, offering authoritative regulatory insight.
  • Lead horizon scanning activity, identifying regulatory changes and supporting timely implementation across the Bank.
  • Shape responses to FCA consultation and discussion papers.
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures that reflect best practice.
  • Prepare high‑quality governance and regulatory papers for senior committees and deputise for the Head of Conduct & Compliance when required.
  • Support accurate and timely regulatory reporting through close collaboration with 1st line teams.
  • Review and approve financial promotions and customer communications, ensuring clarity, fairness, and compliance.
  • Lead the design and delivery of regulatory training to strengthen understanding and capability across the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in FCA regulation, advisory compliance, or conduct risk.
  • Confidence engaging with senior leaders and challenging constructively.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret regulatory change with clarity.
  • Experience preparing governance papers or advising on regulatory matters at committee level.
  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate risk and drive continuous improvement.
  • A commitment to good customer outcomes and a strong compliance culture.
