The opportunity Technical Content Marketing is looking for a Unity specialist and content creator to inspire, engage and educate real-time 3D (RT3D) developers about Unity in the industry space. The ideal candidate should be someone who has developed projects in Unity, who understands the XR, and is passionate about helping this community to be more successful.
The role involves developing a pipeline of rich technical marketing across multiple formats including written long-form articles, ebooks, sample code and demo projects to video tutorials. You understand the end users' pain points, the software lifecycle and you understand how to educate on technical solutions to address this. Some of our content is released in video form so experience with video production, animation and audio recording is a nice bonus.
You will be partnering with a number of teams to deliver, including Product Marketing, Customer Success, Product Management and other marketing functions, to ensure the content roadmap you create is aligned to support business objectives for awareness, product adoption, retention, and revenue.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering a variety of technical marketing materials such as articles, sample code, video tutorials, and ebooks, as either the lead author or in collaboration with stakeholders like external tech artists and Unity teams including R&D engineers.
- Creating and producing videos and tutorials with in-editor footage, demonstrating workflows, best practices, and the capabilities of our tools for industry specific tooling.
- Developing mini-demos, samples, and code snippets as spinoffs from existing larger demos to enable users to directly experience and understand the power of our tools.
- Help create supporting documentation and technical onboarding content to help drive adoption of existing product demos and product features.
- Own and evolve the technical content roadmap in alignment with our business goals.
What we're looking for:
- Extensive experience with the Unity engine, along with a solid understanding of C#.
- Deep understanding of real-time 3D development and familiarity with its primary audience, including programmers, artists, designers, and producers.
- Extensive experience in creating technical content marketing for developers leveraged for engagement, retention and acquisition.
- A passion for Unity and a portfolio demonstrating experience in developing interactive 3D Unity projects using a variety of features & systems and interest in namely XR.
- Proven ability to create diverse content, from writing to video editing, that aligns with both pre- and post-purchase marketing strategies.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to identify, initiate, and execute technical content strategies that enhance the overall marketing narrative and go-to-market motions.
- Strong collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional teams, including PMM, creative, events, and web teams, to build effective content marketing strategies.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven assessment of content performance.
You might also have:
- Video production (filming, recording audio, lighting) and post-production skills (Editing, animation, audio mixing).
- Experience as an educator, trainer, online content creator or working with University faculty.
- Experience as XR developer or Unity game developer.
