Senior Technical Programme Manager, HMI Embedded Platforms

Brighton, United Kingdom, Full-time

The opportunity

The Unity Real-Time 3D Engine runs on many platforms, and a group of platform enablement teams are looking for a Senior Engineering Program Manager. Advances in embedded hardware and operating systems bring real-time 3D to pixels on every screen. Users will expect stunning interactive experiences everywhere: from in-car infotainment systems and digital cockpits to touch-screen kiosks in showrooms and at sporting events. Unity is at the forefront with our scalable, performant runtime engine and Unity Editor workflow.

We are looking for an Engineering Program Manager, who will coordinate the delivery of programs that make up the strategic roadmap. You will collaborate with leaders from engineering, product management, design, quality assurance, and other teams as required. You will also play a key role in building relationships and facilitating collaboration with multiple external partners. As the teams adapt to new opportunities, you will craft and implement change management strategies to guide process improvements and organizational change.

You will wear several hats: connector, mentor, reporter, translator, diplomat, and act as a force multiplier for the teams with whom you work. You should have a highly adaptable program management style, and dedication to cultivating a culture of individual empowerment, ownership, trust, and continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing

  • Coordinating with engineering and product managers to build and execute against a clear roadmap that balances feature development goals, multiple partner commitments, and operational improvements.
  • Using effective communication, tools, and program management strategies so teams stay on track, goals are met, and internal and external partners have the information they need.
  • Iterating on existing processes and methodologies, or developing solutions where none exist, to improve our velocity, collaboration, and visibility while being respectful of what came before.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with change, and adeptly handling any conflicts that arise.
  • Designing and delivering training programs to support teams in adopting new processes and tools.

What we’re looking for

  • Software project/program management experience, working closely with engineering and non-technical teams to facilitate successful delivery of features and products.
  • A track record of delivering against contractual obligations and managing external relationships.
  • Demonstrated success working with globally dispersed teams across time zones.
  • Experience managing process and organizational change, working to evolve the current of embedded habits rather than fighting against it.
  • A focus on establishing relationships, maintaining a positive culture, and optimizing communications tailored to a variety of audiences and stakeholders.

You might also have

  • Experience with building projects using the Unity engine
  • Experience in automotive or Embedded systems

Additional information

  • Relocation support is not available for this position.
  • Work visa/immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
