The Technical Content Marketing team is looking for a Senior Technical Artist to build the demos, samples, and pipeline showcases that prove what Unity makes possible in the industry space. Where our content marketers tell the story, you build the proof — the working projects, assets, and pipeline flows that everything else is created from.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, has developed commercial projects in Unity, and thinks in production pipelines as much as in scenes. You’ll create high-fidelity assets and interactive demo projects that showcase the Unity ecosystem — from Unity Studio and cloud workflows to the Unity Editor — with outputs for web, mobile, desktop, and XR. You’re excited to use AI tooling to move from idea to working demo fast, and you operate independently while bringing the right people along.
We serve industry verticals including Robotics, Public Sector, Manufacturing, Automotive/Transportation, Healthcare, Retail and AEC, so the role requires someone who can move comfortably between visual quality, technical deep dives and real-world industry workflows. You’ll work in Technical Content Marketing and closely with Product Marketing, Product Management, and R&D to bring the correct visualization, simulation, and interactive experiences to life.
What you'll be doing
- Build optimized high-fidelity assets, demo and sample projects in Unity across core industry use cases — Robotics, Prototyping, Digital Twins, Training, Product Configurators, and HMI/Embedded — that serve as source material for videos, tutorials, and articles.
- Create demo flows that connect Unity Studio, Cloud, Asset Manager, and the Editor, with outputs ready for web, mobile, desktop, and XR, focusing on polygon budgets, decimation, LODs, texture/memory budgets, and visual quality tradeoffs.
- Write or vibe code C# for tooling, automation, and interaction logic, and bring a real interest in using AI coding and design assistants to accelerate prototyping and iteration.
- Handle end-to-end video production — including planning, recording, editing, voiceover, and final delivery — for technical content channels.
- Collaborate with content marketers and R&D engineers to ensure the technical substance behind each piece of content is sound, credible, and easy for others to follow.
What we're looking for
- Proven ability to create high-fidelity real-time assets — modeling, texturing, custom materials and shaders — that meet a demanding visual bar across robots, industrial hardware, and complex environments, using tools such as Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max combined with mechanical CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Inventor.
- Extensive practical Unity experience, C# skills, and a real interest in AI-assisted creation — you actively use AI tools to prototype, build, automate, and accelerate production, and you’re keen to push how far these workflows can go.
- Deep understanding of real-time optimization for mobile, web, and XR, including polygon budgets, LODs, materials, texture and memory budgets, and performance tradeoffs.
- Experience producing technical videos end to end — planning, recording, editing, and delivery — with the ability to explain complex workflows clearly to a technical audience of developers, artists, designers, and producers.
- Strength in pipeline automation or node based system — scripting, repeatable build workflows, and connecting tools across the Unity ecosystem.
- A senior operator who runs with little direction — you scope your own work, take initiative, and are self-sufficient. You don't wait to be handed a brief; you go talk to the people who have the answers, figure out what's worth building, and drive it to be done. You're comfortable with source control, clean repo structure, branching, and pull requests, and you share sample projects internally or publicly. You thrive at the intersection of design, engineering, and emerging technology.
You might also have
- Familiarity with Unity Asset Manager or similar cloud asset-management tools and asset-ingestion paths, combined with an interest or experience in building pipelines that cross engine boundaries—such as optimizing and preparing 3D data for use in Unreal Engine, Blender, or web-based runtimes.
- AI/ML inference experience — for example running ONNX models, using Unity inference engine, ML-Agents, or frameworks for simulation, or interactive training use cases.
- Experience packaging and publishing sample projects e.g for public GitHub repos, or uploading content to the Unity Asset Store.
- Experience across relevant industry use cases and verticals — such as Prototyping, Digital Twins, Training, Product Configurators, HMI/Embedded, Robotics, Public Sector, AEC, or Healthcare — with bonus points for hardware prototyping using Arduino, Raspberry Pi, embedded systems, sensors, or microcontrollers.
- Familiarity with workflow automation tools such as Zapier, Make, n8n, or similar platforms.
