We are seeking an experienced and motivated Training Specialist to support the implementation of Point of Care Testing (POCT) solutions across healthcare settings within Greater Glasgow & Clyde. This is a field-based role focused on delivering high-quality operator training, supporting clinical teams during implementation, and ensuring a positive user experience across hospital and community environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving user adoption, supporting change management initiatives, and ensuring training excellence throughout the deployment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver face-to-face and remote operator training across multiple healthcare sites.
- Support implementation and rollout activities for Point of Care Testing solutions.
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to clinical users following go-live.
- Coordinate training schedules and maintain accurate training documentation and records.
- Conduct competency assessments and support user sign-off processes.
- Troubleshoot basic user, workflow, and operational issues during implementation.
- Build strong working relationships with ward teams, POCT teams, clinical stakeholders, and project teams.
- Ensure all training activities are delivered in line with governance, quality, compliance, and patient safety standards.
- Support change management initiatives and encourage user adoption across diverse clinical environments.
- Act as a trusted training resource throughout the implementation programme.
Skills & Experience
- Essential
- Experience delivering healthcare, diagnostics, medical device, or clinical systems training.
- Previous implementation, deployment, or rollout experience within healthcare environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites.
- Experience using digital training tools and learning platforms.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Based within or able to commute across the Greater Glasgow & Clyde region.
- Ability to start within a short notice period.

- Point of Care Testing (POCT) experience.
- Experience supporting diagnostic or medical device implementations.
- NHS experience.
- Nursing, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, or Healthcare-related background.
- Experience delivering competency assessments and training governance activities.
