We are seeking an experienced Senior Principal Statistical Programmer with expertise in Real-World Evidence (RWE), R/SAS programming, and R Shiny development. This role involves leading statistical programming for real-world data (RWD) projects and developing interactive applications to support decision-making, regulatory, and HTA submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead programming and statistical analysis for RWE projects using EMR, claims, and registry data.
- Design, develop, and maintain R Shiny applications for visualization and dissemination of analytical results.
- Ensure high-quality, reproducible outputs aligned with project timelines and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HEOR, Biostatistics, Data Science, Medical, Market Access) to scope, interpret, and present results.
- Contribute to programming standards, reproducibility frameworks, and code review practices.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- Advanced degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Data Science, or HEOR.
- Proven hands-on experience with real-world data (EMR, claims, registries).
- Strong programming expertise in R and SAS for RWE analyses.
- Proficiency in R Shiny app development for interactive visualization.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Availability to commit full-time (5 days/week) for the contract duration.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting regulatory, HTA, or pricing submissions.
- Knowledge of OMOP/OHDSI or other common data models.
- Familiarity with reproducible workflows (Git), documentation standards, and code review processes.
- Understanding of data privacy/GDPR compliance in secondary data usage.
- Exposure to cloud-based analytics (AWS, Azure) and deployment of R Shiny applications.
