The opportunity We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager with extensive prior experience in a hands‑on game development role to join our Engine Product team. You will play a pivotal role in defining product requirements with technical input on customer need, value, measurability, as well as the ability to use and demonstrate product in a hands‑on fashion. In this high‑impact technical role, you will define and execute the roadmap of Unity Engine’s core technology; including scripting and CoreCLR, compilation, burst and entities. You will define product strategy with a technical point of view grounded in a direct understanding of customer requirements while ensuring the product vision aligns with business priorities, user needs, and technical feasibility.
What you’ll be doing:
- Define and own a product vision, strategy, and roadmap that is informed by technical product expertise, customer feedback from Unity Studio Productions and Customer Success organizations, Production Verification, market research, user feedback, and competitive analysis.
- Cultivate strong relationships with Engineering counterparts to lead product areas hand‑in‑hand. You will drive feature delivery across disparate teams, clearing roadblocks and aligning priorities.
- Partner with stakeholders (e.g. Engineering, Quality, Design, Documentation, Program Management) to identify business goals, user needs, and technical requirements.
- Prioritize product features and improvements based on a mix of data and user feedback from key external partners and our wider development community.
- Collaborate with other product team members to ensure solid cross‑product integration and minimization of redundant feature code.
- Facilitate customer feedback loops to refine and improve the product by iteratively adding customer value.
- Hands‑on tests and demos to understand requirements and proposed solutions, verify deliveries, and showcase delivered features to customers, users, and partners.
What we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience with Unity, C#, Entities, Burst and Data oriented design (or similar systems within another engine), with a solid understanding of how developers integrate these technologies.
- Solid understanding of computer architecture, memory.
