Contract Type: Permanent, full time (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)

Salary: Grade 4 SP 13 - 17 (FTE £30,024 - £33,699)

How will you spend your days?

IT Infrastructure Technicians provide 1st and 2nd line support and assist IT Infrastructure Engineers with 3rd line support. You will be providing IT support for our Head Office staff as well as assisting with IT support within schools where required. Duties will include looking after IT equipment and software. IT Infrastructure Technicians are based at Head Office and work as part of the Trust wide IT team and additionally support staff and pupils within our schools.

Your Day-to-day Work Usually Involves:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for IT queries in a timely and professional manner, as a representative of the Trusts ICT service delivery
  • Assisting with maintenance of Apple iPad software including IOS updates for all sites
  • Deploying iPads to sites as required ensuring all items are accounted for
  • Providing roaming support to any school as required
  • Supporting with the transition of IT systems for schools joining the Trust
  • Providing IT cover within schools as and when needed and directed by the Head of IT Operations and Infrastructure

Skills and experience you'll need:

  • Knowledge and experience of working with multiple ICT technologies
  • Proven experience in ensuring a safe, secure and compliant ICT environment
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships
  • Enjoy working in a learning environment and have great patience, diplomacy and good communication skills
  • Experience of driving through effective change
  • Sensitive to the needs of the organisation
  • Excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines

Travel between Head office and Unity schools will be required and candidates will therefore require your own car. We have a travel claims policy to ensure you are supported on travel requirements of the role. A Full Enhanced DBS check will also be required for the successful candidate.
