Unity Resourcing is recruiting for a Technical & Quality Support Administrator on behalf of a successful and ambitious food manufacturing business in Harrogate. This opportunity would suit either a Food Science (or similar) graduate looking to start their career, or someone with previous experience in a QA, QC, Technical or Food Safety role.
The Role
- Supporting the Quality Manager, you'll help ensure products, processes and documentation meet customer, legal and company standards.
- Completing customer specifications and technical documentation.
- Investigating customer complaints.
- Conducting GMP and internal audits.
- Supporting HACCP and food safety activities.
- Maintaining quality systems, procedures and records.
- Supporting external audits and certification requirements.
- Managing supplier approvals and raw material specifications.
- Assisting with environmental monitoring, calibration and shelf-life testing.
- Delivering training and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Degree in Food Science or a related discipline, or previous food manufacturing quality experience.
- Knowledge of GMP and food safety principles.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient with IT systems and documentation.
- HACCP and audit experience would be advantageous but not essential.
