Assistant Finance Manager Location: Thirsk
Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time, permanent. 4 day working week Monday - Thursday

As a key member of the finance team, youll play a central role in producing accurate and timely financial information, supporting management with insightful reporting, and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day finance operation.
Producing month-end financial accounts, including prepayments, accruals, and fixed asset reconciliations.
Preparing variance and spend analysis reports to support financial decision-making.
Managing the monthly payroll process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Overseeing stock valuation and monitoring cost trends.
Running credit checks and maintaining strong credit control procedures.
Supervising finance team members and providing support with ad hoc finance matters.
Maintaining accurate staff absence and holiday records.
Supporting the Finance Director with VAT returns, budgeting, and year-end audits (depending on experience).
AAT Level 4 qualified, part qualified CIMA or ACCA or qualified by experience.
Experienced in a broad accounting role, ideally within an SME environment.
A team player with a flexible and proactive attitude.
Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel and familiar with accounting packages.
Competitive salary between £35,000 - £37,000 , depending on experience.
A four-day working week, Monday Thursday 7.30 17.30.
