Are you an experienced Service Engineer with a strong background in swimming pool and plantroom systems? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist engineering business that provides installation, servicing and maintenance solutions across a range of commercial, healthcare, educational and private sector environments throughout the UK. This is a national field-based role, with the majority of work located in London and the South East, alongside projects across the Midlands and Yorkshire.
The Role
As a Senior Pool & Plantroom Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repair and commissioning of swimming pool and hydrotherapy pool systems. Working independently and as part of a wider service team, you will ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently and in line with industry standards. You will also support the servicing and maintenance of additional specialist equipment, providing a varied and rewarding role with opportunities to develop your technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial and private pool facilities
- Service, repair and commission swimming pool plantroom equipment
- Diagnose faults and undertake reactive maintenance and repairs
- Conduct water quality testing and provide recommendations for compliance
- Install and upgrade pool plantroom equipment and associated systems
- Complete detailed service reports and maintenance documentation
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Build strong working relationships with customers and site contacts
- Identify and report opportunities for additional service work
- Support and mentor fellow engineers where required
- Assist with the servicing and maintenance of other specialist equipment within the business portfolio
About You
We're looking for a practical and technically skilled engineer who enjoys problem-solving and delivering excellent customer service. Ideally, you will have:
- Mechanical or engineering qualifications, or equivalent industry experience
- Experience working on swimming pool and plantroom systems
- Knowledge of water treatment, filtration, dosing and circulation systems
- PWTAG Pool Plant Operator Certificate
- IOSH Working Safely
- PASMA and IPAF qualifications
- First Aid at Work qualification
- Full UK Driving Licence
