Salary: £24,000 - £38,000 DOE and level

Location: Ripon (Hybrid working available)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, 1 hour for lunch

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing and successful business based in Ripon that is expanding its logistics function. They are open to hiring either a Logistics Planner or a Logistics Manager, depending on experience.

The role involves planning, coordination, and execution of bulk and bagged commodity movements, including import and export activity. For more experienced candidates, there is scope to take full ownership of the logistics function and, over time, progress into managing people as the department grows.

Key responsibilities:
  • Planning and booking bulk and bagged deliveries, including import and export
  • Negotiating rates and terms with logistics providers
  • Managing logistics and contractual obligations within purchase and sales contracts
  • Liaising with internal teams including trading, accounts, and operations
  • Communicating with customers and suppliers regarding collections and deliveries
  • Recording and reconciling stock levels
  • Processing logistics invoices
  • Producing reports on logistics activity
  • Maintaining relevant industry accreditations
  • Delivering a high level of service to suppliers and customers

What we are looking for:

  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (due to location)
