Role
We are recruiting for a Logistics Manager to join a growing business operating within the commodities sector. Due to continued growth, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of logistics operations, with future scope to manage a team as the department develops.
Responsibilities
- Managing bulk and bagged deliveries, including imports and exports across a wide range of agricultural commodities
- Negotiating rates and terms with logistics providers
- Managing logistics elements within purchase and sales contracts
- Liaising with trading and accounts teams regarding contract allocations, movements and customer credit limits
- Communicating with customers and suppliers to coordinate collections and deliveries
- Recording, reconciling and reporting stock levels
- Processing logistics invoices
- Generating reports from the business operating system relating to logistics activity
- Providing a high level of service to both customers and suppliers
Qualifications
- Experience within the logistics sector
- Experience using a logistics operating system
- Strong communication skills
- Confident problem-solver
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, professional environment
