High Voltage Electrician

We’re a fast-growing, hands-on company delivering high voltage infrastructure projects across the UK, and we’re looking for an experienced HV Electrician to join our close-knit and supportive team. If you’re a qualified electrician with strong HV experience who takes pride in working safely, efficiently, and to a high standard — this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
About the Role:
As a High Voltage Electrician, you’ll be responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, and fault finding of HV and LV electrical systems on substations and grid-connected sites, typically operating at voltages from LV up to 400kV. You’ll work across a variety of projects, including:
- Grid Connections
- Battery Energy Storage Schemes (BESS)
- Solar Farm Developments
- Private Industrial HV Networks
Duties will include:
- Installation, termination, and testing of LV cables
- Wiring, glanding, and containment installation
- Installation of switchgear, transformers, protection panels, and Substation Ancillary Equipment
- Fault finding and diagnostic testing on HV/LV systems
- Supporting commissioning activities alongside SAPs and Commissioning Engineers
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Carrying out earthing and bonding works
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with current regulations and strict safety procedures
