Role Overview

The Dray Driver / Multi-Drop Delivery Van Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient and accurate delivery of beer kegs, cases, bottles and associated consumables to customers within the delivery area served by their Brighouse Distribution Hub.

This is a specialist dray role, not a standard parcel delivery position, requiring care, product knowledge, customer awareness and pride in representing the brand at every delivery point.

Working as part of the Transport team, the role requires a customer-focused individual who can manage a multi-drop delivery schedule, maintain high standards of vehicle compliance and safety, and provide a level of service that strengthens the relationship between The company, and their brand partners and our customers.

This is a physically demanding role involving regular heavy lifting, loading and unloading of products, and the collection of returnable containers and empties.

  • Complete daily multi-drop delivery schedules from the Brighouse Distribution Hub to customers across the designated delivery area.
  • Deliver beer kegs, cases, bottles and consumables safely and efficiently to customers.
  • Load and unload vehicles in line with safe working practices and company procedures.
  • Collect empty kegs, casks, packaging and returnable items as required.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and within agreed service levels.
  • Follow planned delivery routes while adapting to changing operational requirements where necessary.
  • Communicate delivery updates, delays or issues promptly to the Transport Team.
  • Obtain proof of delivery and ensure all delivery documentation is completed accurately.
  • Maintain professional standards when delivering to pubs, bars, restaurants, retailers and wholesalers.
  • Safely secure loads and ensure products are transported in line with company standards.
  • Customer Service

  • Conduct and record daily vehicle checks, reporting defects immediately.
  • Ensure vehicles are kept clean, roadworthy and compliant with company standards.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and in accordance with road traffic legislation.
  • Follow all company transport, health and safety and driver compliance procedures.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and vehicle documentation as required.
  • Report accidents, incidents, near misses or vehicle damage in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure all vehicle-related equipment is maintained and used correctly.

This role is based at the Brighouse Distribution Hub and involves regular travel throughout the designated delivery area.

Working hours are Tuesday to Friday, commencing at 7:00am and finishing upon completion of the daily delivery schedule.

Flexibility is required to meet operational and customer requirements.

Due to the nature of the role, there is a significant manual handling requirement involving the movement of beer kegs, cases, bottles and associated products.

This role is ideal for an experienced dray or delivery professional who understands that the service we provide is much more substantial than parcel delivery.

Based from our Brighouse Distribution Hub, you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive deliveries safely, accurately and on time, while acting as a trusted and professional ambassador.
