Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance runs a dedicated Youth Programme aimed at inspiring and educating the younger generation across our region. This programme includes delivering fun, engaging presentations to primary-aged children in schools and youth clubs, as well as attending career events to spark interest in emergency services and charity careers. We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic volunteers to help us deliver these sessions in schools (through assemblies and class visits) and at youth organisations such as Brownies, Beavers, and Cubs. Our presentation focuses on when and how to call 999 and explains the vital role that Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance plays in emergencies. Sessions include a short role play where children can practise making a 999 call in a safe, supportive environment.

You will be:

  • Delivering engaging presentations to school groups or youth organisations.
  • Promoting the correct use of the 999 emergency number.
  • Raising awareness of the work of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
  • Supporting relationships with schools, teachers, students, and youth leaders.
