We’re looking for enthusiastic, community‑minded volunteers to join the 1st Andover Scouts Team — a brilliant chance to support adventurous, determined young people aged 10½ to 14 as they learn new skills, build friendships and have fun. Whether you’re a master of marshmallow toasting, handy in the kitchen, great with social media, or simply someone who turns up with a smile, you already have what it takes. Everyone is welcome, and everyone brings something special. Outdoors, camping, nature, teamwork — our Scouts enjoy it all, and the only thing missing is you. You don’t need any prior Scouting experience. We’ll provide training, support… and marshmallows.
About the Role
As a Scouts Team Volunteer, you’ll help create exciting, confidence‑building experiences for young people. Your contribution could include:
- Running team games
- Helping young people learn practical life skills
- Supporting outdoor adventures like camping or climbing
- Assisting with canoeing, kayaking or sailing (as this is a Sea Scouts group)
- Updating or supporting social media content
You’ll join a friendly, collaborative team who love working together to create great opportunities for young people. Training is fully provided, and you’ll be supported throughout. The 1st Andover Scouts meet on Thursday evenings, with all activities happening in a safe and structured environment.
