Whitchurch Squirrel Scouts is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to work with Squirrels aged 4–6, bringing fun, creativity, and adventure to our youngest Scouts. This role is all about creating magical first experiences and helping young people begin their journey of skills for life.
About the Role
As a Squirrel Leader or Team Member at Whitchurch Squirrels, you will help deliver exciting weekly sessions that make young eyes light up with wonder. Working as part of a friendly team, you will support safe, fun, and engaging activities that encourage curiosity, confidence, and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Help plan and run weekly Squirrel sessions
- Support 4–6 year olds in a safe, inclusive environment
- Lead and assist with activities such as cooking, crafts, games, and den building
- Keep sessions organised, fun, and welcoming
- Mentor and encourage young people as they explore new experiences
Skills & Experience Needed
- Enthusiasm, patience, and creativity
- Willingness to work with young children
- All other training will be provided
Requirements
- A DBS (criminal record) check will be required
