Sport in Mind is a mental health sports charity who provide a wide range of free sports and physical sessions to suit everyone. Our weekly youth session is open to 10-14 year olds facing challenges & low self-esteem/confidence, offering a fun & safe sport session. The session is weekly during term-time and takes place in a safe, supportive and fun environment.
A DBS is required for the role. We are looking for young volunteers aged 17-25 to support our youth session. Volunteers will help coach the session, providing a fun, safe and welcoming environment inclusive of equipment set-up and close‑down, and supporting the coach to maintain the relevant adult : young people ratio.
Key skills and attributes: kind, friendly, approachable and able to engage attendees in activities in a way that maximises benefit.
