We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Litter Picker to help maintain the cleanliness of our Festival Gardens, Lido and wider outdoor areas throughout our busy season.

You will be responsible for litter picking, emptying bins, sweeping and ensuring our key guest areas remain clean, safe and welcoming throughout the day. About You

You'll be a hands-on and dependable individual who takes pride in keeping outdoor spaces clean, tidy and well presented. You'll be comfortable spending the majority of your working day outdoors and carrying out a physically active role involving regular walking, sweeping, lifting and moving waste bags. You'll be proactive and able to identify areas that require attention without always needing to be directed. You'll understand that even the smallest details can have a significant impact on the experience of our Owners and Guests. No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided. What matters most is a positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to work as part of the wider Maintenance team. As this is a visible and guest-facing role, you'll also be approachable, professional and represent Unity Holidays positively when interacting with Owners and Guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out regular litter picking throughout the Festival Gardens, Lido and wider resort areas
  • Empty bins and replace bin liners throughout the working day
  • Move waste safely to the appropriate collection and disposal points
  • Sweep paths, seating areas and other outdoor guest spaces
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of car parks, play areas and the external areas surrounding our entertainment venues
  • Regularly monitor high-footfall areas and respond quickly where additional cleaning is required
  • Help ensure all outdoor areas remain clean, safe and welcoming for Owners and Guests
  • Report any damage, hazards, overflowing bins or maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Manager
  • Use equipment and PPE safely and in line with the training provided
  • Follow all waste management, health and safety, COSHH and company procedures
  • Interact professionally and helpfully with Owners and Guests when required
  • Support the wider Maintenance team and other resort departments where reasonably required

Hours of Work

This is a full-time seasonal position available as soon as possible until the end of September, with the possibility of continuing into October. You will work four days per week, primarily during daytime hours while the resort complex and outdoor facilities are open. Flexibility is essential, as the working pattern will include weekends, bank holidays and some variation in hours depending on the needs of the resort.
