We are now looking for a Food & Beverage Team Member – Fish Fryer to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality fish and chip shop food while ensuring every order is served safely, consistently and efficiently.
About You
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment. You will take pride in the quality and presentation of every order, remain calm during busy service periods and work closely with the wider Food & Beverage team to deliver an excellent guest experience. You will understand the importance of food hygiene, allergen controls and safe working practices, and you will be willing to support with other duties across the venue when required. Previous experience working with commercial fryers or within a fish and chip shop is desirable, but training can be provided for the right person.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking food: Preparing, battering and frying fish, chips and other menu items in line with agreed recipes, cooking times and quality standards.
- Operating frying equipment: Using commercial fryers safely and responsibly, including monitoring temperatures and reporting any equipment concerns immediately.
- Quality and presentation: Ensuring all food is cooked correctly, presented to a high standard and served promptly.
- Food safety and allergens: Following all food hygiene, allergen, temperature-control and cross-contamination procedures.
- Stock control: Monitoring ingredients and supplies, rotating stock correctly and informing the manager when items need replenishing.
- Cleaning and hygiene: Keeping fryers, preparation areas, utensils, floors and surrounding workspaces clean and safe throughout the shift.
- Teamwork: Working closely with front-of-house and kitchen colleagues to ensure orders are prepared accurately and efficiently.
- Supporting the wider venue: Assisting with food preparation, cleaning, serving or other reasonable Food & Beverage duties when required.
- Problem solving: Responding quickly to minor operational issues and escalating concerns to the manager on duty where necessary.
Hours of Work
Our Food & Beverage venues are busiest during evenings, weekends and holiday periods, so flexibility is essential. Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays, evenings and bank holidays will be required.
