Our Security Team plays a vital role in creating a safe, secure and welcoming environment for our Holiday Home Owners, Guests, contractors and team members. We are looking for professional, vigilant and approachable Security Team Members who can balance firm security presence with excellent customer service. About You
You'll be calm, professional and confident, with a strong sense of responsibility and awareness of safety and security. You'll enjoy working in a guest-facing environment, maintaining a visible presence across the resort and responding to situations in a controlled, respectful and professional manner. You'll be comfortable enforcing rules fairly, supporting safeguarding and welfare, and working closely with other resort teams. Reliability, sound judgement and clear communication are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible security presence across the resort to promote safety and deter inappropriate behaviour
- Carry out regular patrols, identifying hazards, risks or security concerns and taking appropriate action
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, emergencies or disturbances in line with procedures
- Support crowd management and guest safety during busy periods, events and evenings
- Accurately record and report incidents, accidents and near misses using approved systems
- Escalate serious concerns promptly to the Duty Manager, Security Manager or emergency services
- Engage with guests in a friendly, respectful and professional manner, providing reassurance and guidance
- Enforce resort rules fairly and diplomatically while maintaining a calm, controlled approach
- Remain vigilant to safeguarding concerns and report issues in line with company policy
- Support guest and colleague welfare, including responding to medical or wellbeing incidents
- Communicate clearly with security colleagues and resort teams using radios and approved channels
- Follow all Assignment Instructions (AI), SOPs and complete the Daily Occurrence Book (DOB)
- Use, manage and return security equipment (including radios and body-worn cameras) correctly and in line with training and data protection requirements
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
- Valid SIA Licence
- Strong awareness of safety, security and risk prevention
- Calm, professional and confident communication skills
- Ability to remain composed under pressure and make sound judgements
- Reliable, observant and proactive approach
- Ability to follow procedures and complete accurate reports
Desirable:
- Previous experience in security, stewarding, customer service or hospitality
- Experience working in guest-facing or public environments
- Knowledge of safeguarding, licensing or health & safety practices
This role requires strict adherence to safeguarding, health & safety and licensing procedures. A DBS check may be required depending on duties and deployment. Mandatory training and certification must be completed where applicable.
Hours of Work
Security operations run across evenings, weekends, peak holiday periods and events. Flexibility to work variable shifts, including nights and weekends, is essential.
