Following a phenomenal first year of trading, Unity Holidays continues to build on strong foundations to deliver an industry-leading Owner and Guest experience across our holiday and Food & Beverage operations. We are now looking for a F&B Assistant Manager to support the delivery of exceptional service at The Dog & Duck - our key venue on park.

We’re looking for a confident, people-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You’ll bring strong operational awareness, a proactive mindset and the ability to lead teams with clarity and energy. You’ll be passionate about delivering excellent service, developing others and maintaining high standards across every shift.

  • Be confident leading teams and supporting Team Leaders in day-to-day operations
  • Have strong decision-making skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in hospitality or food & beverage leadership
  • Strong people management and coaching skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
  • Good understanding of food hygiene, safety and compliance standards
  • Ability to manage operations in a busy, guest-focused environment

Desirable

  • Experience in high-volume or multi-venue operations
  • Food Safety Level 2 or 3 (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience with stock control, rotas and financial processes

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Support the F&B Manager in overseeing daily operations at The Dog & Duck
  • Lead, coach and develop Team Leaders and team members
  • Support rota planning and ensure effective staffing levels
  • Deputise for the F&B Manager when required

Guest Experience

  • Deliver a consistently high-quality guest experience
  • Handle escalated guest feedback professionally and effectively
  • Use feedback and insight to improve service delivery
  • Maintain a strong presence on shift, especially during peak periods

Operations & Financial Control

  • Ensure accurate cash handling and compliance with procedures
  • Support stock control, ordering and waste management
  • Drive efficiency and support cost control initiatives
  • Maintain high standards of service, quality and presentation

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, licensing and health & safety standards
  • Complete venue checks, audits and reporting
  • Ensure teams follow all safety and cleaning procedures
  • Take immediate action on any risks or issues

People & Performance

  • Support performance, conduct and absence management processes
  • Provide coaching, feedback and development support
  • Promote a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture

Standards & Presentation

  • Ensure the venue is clean, safe and fully operational at all times
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure all records, checklists and handovers are completed correctly

Hours of Work

This role includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays, in line with peak trading periods. Flexibility is essential.
