An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supervising Social Worker to join the team at Unity Foster Care. You will need to travel to the office in Leeds once a week for this role.

As a Supervising Social Worker with Unity Foster Care you will hold a manageable caseload allowing you to play a key role in ensuring our foster carers and children/young people have the support, guidance and training they need to thrive. You will collaborate with our dedicated clinical and support teams to ensure the right support is in place for our carers, children and young people.

As a Supervising Social Worker you will keep in touch and undertake home visits with our foster carers and children/young people becoming an essential point of contact. You will be responsible for ensuring that children’s care and development needs are met within placements by undertaking necessary placement management, planning and intervention for both emergency and planned referrals. As a key member within the team you will ensure that our children/young people have a safe, stable environment in which they feel loved, cared for and are nurtured to reach their full potential.

  • Hold a recognised Social Work qualification
  • Have a current Social Work England registration
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence and have a vehicle
  • Are willing to undertake an enhanced DBS
  • Have experience in children’s services and foster care delivery
  • Willing to participate in an out of hours telephone support system and undertake occasional out of hours/weekend work by attending events, meetings and training
