We are an Agile team in a lovely barn conversion in the countryside between Exeter and Exmouth. One of our most recent recruits described us as one of the most supportive teams they had ever worked with.
Our core tech is PHP, Python, HTML and CSS; however, we are looking for an experienced App Developer, with a solid knowledge of Android, additional iOS experience would be an advantage. Working alongside a team of talented software developers within an Agile (scrum) environment, you will build up a detailed knowledge of the software system and business requirements displaying the ability to recommend, implement and develop cutting-edge solutions. Our software is critical to our clients' businesses and you will play a pivotal role in its development, always mindful of the end-user and delivering a first-class user experience.
The role will encompass:
- Delivery of new functionality/systems and maintenance of existing applications and systems from design through to deployment/implementation and post-implementation support.
- Working closely with the software team to ensure seamless integration between the software and mobile applications.
- Knowledge of MySQL databases.
- Understanding of agile development methodologies with the desire to improve existing processes.
- Proactive, self-motivated and autonomous.
- Contribution to and compliance with the project briefs and documentation.
- Working to agreed deadlines and within agreed sprints.
- Following Agile development practices, including daily scrum, planning and retros.
- Delivery of quality code to defined standards within the Unity5 Code guidelines.
- Providing coaching and mentoring to less experienced developers, if that is something you would like to get involved in.
- Working collaboratively with Support and other departments of the company to deliver the best possible user experience.
