Unity Education Trust are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and diligent Administration Assistant to help support administrative and clerical functions to a high standard within the school, ensuring consistency. Tasks will involve the completion of paperwork and referrals, recording placements and tracking and inputting attendance into the MIS system. The successful candidate will be a motivated individual who can deliver a high-quality service to the school community and meet key deadlines in a fast-paced and sometimes challenging environment. A caring and supportive nature with the ability to remain calm and cope with the unexpected is essential as many of our pupils have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD) as well as pupils classed as missing education and permanently excluded from mainstream schools.

  • Liaising with contractors and suppliers to ensure the provision of services to the school and the maintenance of a safe working environment for all
  • Be caring, enthusiastic, dedicated and well-organised
  • Have excellent standards of IT, Literacy and Numeracy
  • Be able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
  • Work well in a team and apply excellent communication (verbal and in writing)

We Are Looking For a Person Who Has

  • NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent experience/qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Experience of working in a busy school office setting
  • Experience of the SIMS Database and school administrative procedures
  • Proficient in the use of ICT
  • Organised, efficient and hardworking
  • Able to work constructively as part of a team
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to work calmly under pressure
