Unity Education Trust is looking for a versatile, resilient and committed Assistant Base Lead to join our education team at Douglas Bader for maternity cover.
Responsibilities
- Manage pastoral aspects of our school life including safeguarding, attendance, engagement and behaviour.
- Work alongside teaching professionals and manage a team of Teaching Assistants.
- Support the smooth running of our school.
- Manage, track, monitor and support a caseload of pupil premium pupils.

Additional Requirements
- This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
- It will come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) 2009 Regulations.
- The successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations.
- All applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding screening appropriate to the post, including checks with Disclosure & Barring Service and at least 2 references covering the last 3 years.
- This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for this role.
Salary
Salary - MRS Scale H Point 23-25: actual salary £31,757 – £33,536 (Full‑time annual salary £34,434 – £36,363).
