We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive and forward-thinking primary school in Havering on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

  • Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons and leading whole class sessions when required
  • Working closely with class teachers to plan and prepare engaging learning activities
  • Supporting pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs
  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom
  • Act as a role model, setting high expectations of conduct and promoting positive pupil behaviour
  • Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school's policies and procedures about health & safety, welfare and wellbeing and safeguarding
  • Provide additional support to the teachers in the classrooms
  • Establish positive relationships with the pupils in lessons being covered
