The role Head of English
The successful Head of English will:
- Require the skill set and vision to support, guide and develop a well-resourced, friendly English department
- Deliver creative, effective, and challenging English curriculum, keeping up to date with developments in English Education
- Track pupil progress
- Promote the school ethos and values
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum through data, observation and review of learning through books and schemes of learning
- Attend all relevant departmental/leadership meetings
