Unity Doors is a specialist in the design, manufacture and supply of Timber and Composite doorsets. We are recruiting for a Delivery Driver (with a HGV 2 license) to join our logistics team at our head office in Newent, Gloucestershire.
Reporting to: Logistics Manager
Location: Based at our Head Office in Newent, Gloucestershire
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 45 hour guaranteed contract
We are looking for a Delivery Driver with valuable experience of driving vehicles up to 18 tonne (HGV 2). The set-up of our transport team means that there will be flexibility required in which vehicle is driven, so driving of a 7.5 tonne lorry or a 3.5 tonne van will be on a rotational basis. You will be delivering our doorsets to a variety of customers, so the number of drops will vary (on average between 5-10 per day).
Suitable candidates will require:
- Current driving license with valid CPC and Tacho card up to HGV 2 (minimum)
- Be physically fit and used to manual handling of products
- Used to starting early (3am onwards)
- Daily working hours vary depending on delivery schedule – usually working week up to 50 hours per week (overtime paid on hours over 45 per week @ x1.33 rate)
- Good knowledge of the main motorway networks across England
- Willing to stay out overnight on occasion
