About The Role
We are looking for a playful, happy and interactive Healthcare Assistant to work with our crafty 5-year-old client at his lovely home in Rye. This client is playful and loves helping his family in the kitchen, as well as his arts and crafts. He enjoys swimming, being read to, and dancing to music, and even plays a musical instrument or two!
Successful applicants will be required to support him with a range of healthcare needs including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and enteral feeding, as well as a condition caused by a serious brain injury. He is non-verbal, and can sometimes become frustrated by not being understood, so experience of non-verbal communication would be helpful.
Applicants should be experienced in supporting clients with complex care needs, including suctioning, nebulisers, and rescue medication.
Available shifts include:
- Monday to Friday – 4hr shifts
- Saturday – 10hr shifts
You will ideally be able to commit to a minimum of 2 shifts per week, and will have the opportunity to meet and work alongside other clients supported by the company.
Unity Care Solutions provides complex clinical healthcare services to children and vulnerable adults within the comfort of their own homes. You will work with a small number of our clients to provide dedicated and professional healthcare services. Regular shifts of various lengths are available across the company Monday to Sunday, up to 12 hours in duration. You will be required to commit to regular work to support our clients to access consistent and high-quality care.

The client would particularly like to meet people who:
- Are playful and are good with children
- Have at least one year’s experience working in care supporting similar individuals
- Have experience in supporting individuals with similar care needs including epilepsy and non-verbal communication
- Likes arts and crafts
- Ideally hold a UK driving licence
- Are female
- Like cats and dogs!
To be successful, you will:
- Be able to commit to the minimum availability of shifts
- Hold the right to work in the UK. Please note that we are unable to offer VISA sponsorship.
