As a result of Unity Advisory's growth and success, we are looking to hire a VAT Manager. You will have experience in working in a fast paced and complex environment and be collaborative to find the right solution for your clients. You will be highly client centric and able to build long lasting relationships which are valued by your clients. You will also be proactive in taking value enhancing solutions to your clients in both tax and more broadly. This is a rare opportunity for a dynamic and commercially minded adviser to shape the future of our employment tax practice in a lean and agile environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert VAT advisory services to clients, ensuring compliance with UK, EU and global indirect tax regulations.
  • Develop and implement VAT strategies for clients that align with commercial drivers.
  • Build strong and trusted relationships with clients.
  • Work with leading experts across a range of advisory areas in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proactively use data and analysis tools to identify opportunities and risks for clients.
  • Liaise with HMRC and other tax authorities on VAT-related matters.
  • Stay updated on changes in VAT legislation and advise clients on the implications.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on VAT compliance and advisory matters.
Qualifications
  • Professional qualification in tax (e.g., CTA, ATT) or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of UK and EU VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience to identify and lead technology enabled solutions to client issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and tax authorities.
