About Unity Advisory
Unity Advisory is a pure-play, experience-led CFO advisory firm providing integrated finance, commercial, tax and deals support. We are free from audit conflicts and AI-enabled by design, combining deep technical expertise with automation, analytics and AI embedded into the delivery of every engagement. We are building an alternative to traditional advisory firms, focused on clarity over complexity, outcomes over hours, and practical advice delivered at pace for CFOs making high-consequence decisions.
The Role
We're looking for a Senior Manager to join our M&A and transactional tax team. You'll take day-to-day ownership of engagement delivery, advising clients on UK and international deal structuring, tax due diligence, SPA tax input, and post-deal integration.
You'll bring solid M&A or transactional tax experience from a Big 4, top-tier advisory firm, or law firm, and be comfortable running workstreams end-to-end while working closely with our Directors and Partners. You'll advise private equity, corporate, and family office clients directly, and play a key role in shaping how AI and automation are used across our tax delivery. This is a hybrid role based in our Mayfair office.
What You'll Do
• Lead the day-to-day delivery of M&A and transactional tax engagements across buy-side and sell-side deals.
• Advise clients on UK and international deal structuring, tax due diligence, and SPA tax input.
• Support post-deal integration workstreams, including tax structuring and reporting considerations.
• Work directly with private equity, corporate, and family office clients to deliver commercially focused tax advice across the transaction lifecycle.
• Review and quality-check technical outputs from junior team members ahead of Director or Partner sign-off.
• Collaborate with Unity's in-house AI team to help build and refine delivery tools for the transactions tax practice.
• Support business development activity: proposals, pitches, and building client relationships.
• Coach and develop junior team members, contributing to the growth of the transactions tax practice.
What You Bring
• Significant experience in M&A or transactional tax from a Big 4, top-tier advisory firm, or law firm.
• Hands-on experience delivering buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence and deal structuring advice.
• Strong technical grounding in UK corporate tax as it applies to transactions.
• A track record of managing engagement delivery and coordinating with legal counsel and other deal advisors.
• Clear, confident communicator, comfortable engaging directly with client stakeholders.
• Qualified tax professional (CTA, ACA, or equivalent).
Nice to Have
• Exposure to cross-border or international transactions.
• Experience advising private equity or family office clients.
• Familiarity with tax technology or AI-enabled delivery tools.
• Sector experience in areas like TMT, Consumer, or Business Services.
Working at Unity Advisory
At Unity Advisory, you'll be at the heart of a growing transactions tax practice. We offer:
• A truly hybrid and flexible working model.
• The chance to help shape a modern, AI-enabled M&A tax offering.
• Direct exposure to senior clients, dealmakers and investors from day one.
• A flat, collaborative team where ideas move quickly and impact is real.
