About Unity Advisory
Unity Advisory is a pure-play, experience-led CFO advisory firm providing integrated finance, commercial, tax and deals support.
We are free from audit conflicts and AI-enabled by design, combining deep technical expertise with automation, analytics and AI built into the delivery of every engagement.
We are building an alternative to traditional advisory firms, focused on clarity over complexity, outcomes over hours, and practical advice delivered at pace for CFOs making high-consequence decisions.
Unity Advisory is a new kind of partner for the office of the CFO.
Founded by senior leaders from the world's top advisory firms and backed by Warburg Pincus, we provide integrated finance, commercial, tax and deals support: expert advice, sharper execution, and delivery models built around how organisations operate today.
CFOs need trusted advisers without legacy complexity, so we pair expert human judgement with proprietary AI workflows and smart automation, free from audit conflicts.
The Role
We built our deals practice around the client's decision: whether to buy, whether to sell, at what price, on what terms.
We work alongside our clients rather than at arm's length, in the room while the deal decision is being made, and our support carries on beyond signing: into the 100-day plan, the hold period and the eventual exit.
And that support draws on the whole firm: our tax, finance and commercial specialists work as one team with the deals practice, so the advice a client gets after signing is as integrated as the diligence that came before it.
We're looking for a Manager to join our Financial Due Diligence team.
You'll run buy-side and sell-side engagements day to day: getting into the numbers, managing the team on the ground, and making sure clients get clear, well-supported findings on time.
You'll bring solid FDD or transaction services experience from a Big 4 or top-tier advisory firm, and own an engagement from scoping through to final findings.
You'll work alongside our Partners and Directors and directly with clients and target company management from day one.
This is a hybrid role based in our Mayfair office.
What You'll Do
- Manage buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements from scoping through to completion.
- Analyse quality of earnings, net working capital, cash flow and other issues that decide a deal, and turn the findings into a clear, well-supported story for the client.
- Run the engagement team day to day: reviewing work, coaching junior staff, and keeping everyone (including the client) up to speed on progress.
- Interview target company management and build working relationships with clients, private equity investors, and other advisors on the deal.
- Draft and quality-check diligence deliverables so they're accurate, clear, and ready for Director or Partner sign-off.
- Work alongside Unity's data and AI specialists to make our analytics standard practice on every engagement.
- Take part in business development: proposals, pitches, and staying close to opportunities as they arise.
- What You'll Bring
- 5+ years' experience in Financial Due Diligence or Transaction Services from a Big 4 or top-tier advisory firm.
- Hands-on experience managing buy-side and sell-side FDD assignments from start to finish.
- Strong technical grounding in accounting and the deal issues that matter most: quality of earnings, working capital, and cash flow.
- A track record of being an excellent team player in multidisciplinary engagements.
- Clear and confident communication (both written and verbal) with clients and senior stakeholders.
- Curiosity and genuine interest in how technology and AI evolve financial due diligence practice and playing a key role in shaping it.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Nice to Have
- Experience with Private Equity clients or PE-backed portfolio companies.
- Exposure to cross-border or international transactions.
- Experience with data and analytics tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, or Databricks.
- Sector experience in areas like TMT, Consumer, Healthcare, Business Services and Industrials.
- Additional Information
