The Role
We\'re looking for an Equity Director to join our rapidly growing team at Unity Advisory. In this role, you\'ll be a key leader in or Incentives and Employment Taxes team. We\'re building a straightforward, commercial, open, experimental, team-first culture. Our mission is to help CFOs drive their businesses forward with AI-enabled advisory services—always putting people at the very heart of what we do. You would work with private equity-backed and upper mid-market businesses to design, implement, and optimise equity incentive plans that drive value creation and align stakeholder interests as part of a wider team or on stand-alone projects.
Responsibilities

  • Lead complex equity advisory engagements with C-suite executives and PE sponsors as part of a transaction or on strategic projects
  • Design and implement the full range of incentive plans, from Management Incentive Plans (MIPs) through to tax-efficient share schemes
  • Provide strategic counsel on equity compensation matters in M&A, restructuring, and exit scenarios
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of equity specialists
  • Partner with our Product and AI teams to shape our growing suite of automation tools
  • Drive business development through thought leadership and relationship building with key clients
Qualifications
  • A seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in equity advisory with a focus on M&A
  • Deep technical expertise in equity issues arising in transactions and a working knowledge of UK tax-advantaged share schemes (EMI, CSOP)
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting PE transactions and management teams
  • Proven ability to build relationships with C-suite executives and investment professionals and win work
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple engagements simultaneously
  • Exceptional communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into practical, commercial advice
  • Forward-thinking mindset, comfortable with using technology to enhance service delivery.
